A special tribute to the world of Castlevania video game music for the fans

September 23, 2015

Over time this has become more than just a fan blog about Konami games, it has become somewhat of a portal for getting the handy work of you and other fans noticed by others. After all, you put all that effort into something, so why not share it with the world? Here it is, Fall, that time of year when the leaves start turning brown and Halloween is just around the corner.

Aside from your love for Silent Hill, Castlevania fans deserve some attention as well, and they usually get it in the form of YouTube videos.

After scouting around on YouTube I came across another one of those great "medley" game music videos that I just had to raise awareness to. This one is by Yuta Romeo is a guitar arrangement collection of various Castlevania games throughout history. Hit titles included are Symphony of the Night, Castlevania 3 - Dracula's Curse, and even Portrait of Ruin for those of you who love taking your gaming on the road. Here is the description to the video:

"I've completed this suite with all of my affection toward the Castlevania.
This is an arranged suite composed of ten of movement,
and to be able to enjoy it just like playing a game,
I added introduction, development, turn and conclusion to it.
All titles attached to the beginning of each chapter are my image.
As usual, I composed this music with MIDI except guitar.
It's very long, but I hope you will enjoy."

Talk about a long video too, this sucker is a compilation of game music spanning close to an hour and a half in length. I don't think I've seen one quite this big before, but since Yuta went to all the trouble to make it, I say it deserves some well earned attention don't you think?

Take a look at the video below and tell me what you think of it in the comment section below. Also, if you have a personal video you would like to share based on any Konami game, feel free to put a link to your work and try to give some information about it.

I will review and do a post for you to share with others. You can also use the "Add Your Content" section at the top of this blog as an alternative and email your information.
