Castlevania The Concert will steal men's souls and make them their slaves

November 6, 2015

Wouldn't it be nice to have the chance to show up at one of these? Yes, Castlevania actually has a live show.....a concert if you will where game music from the series is performed live on stage by a pretty sizable orchestra. It certainly takes one to be able to pull off some of the songs you've come to know and love over the years.

Titles such as "Requiem of the Gods" from Symphony of the Night, and "The Sinking Old Sanctuary" from Bloodlines are definitely among them. The series has been around for a long time now, going on for over 28 years. Yes, it has been that long. Makes you feel old doesn't it?

So what exactly is The Castlevania Concert. Simply put, it's performed live of course, and with a full symphony orchestra, rockband, organ, piano, singers and visual effects. Hey, you gotta have those special visual effects to go with such awesome music right?

Right. Oh, and let's not forget our beloved Michiru Yamane, who composed much of the original Castlevania music from titles like SOTN and Order of Ecclesia. Two of my personal favorite epic goth titles to boot. She sometimes shows up to perform her own piece on stage, let by fan and old school gamer David Westerlund.

These are some of the best of the best, at least in my opinion of songs you'll immediately recognize, and boy how we all wish we could be there to witness it in all its glory......live. You can also catch them on Facebook and keep up with any new updates taking place on their official page. There are currently over 2,000 members in the group, so feel free to join up yourself and perhaps make a friend or two in the process.

Or simply visit the homepage and make reservations for any upcoming events. Be sure to check out the bottom video, which is somewhat of a "behind the scenes" making of Castlevania The Concert.
