Time for round 4 of Silent Hill cosplay acts. This time with none other than those pesky nurses that you just hate running into when playing the game. These aren't your garden variety type nurses that bring you what you need while your in the hospital bed and assist the doctors. Nope, these are the zombie type with the messed up faces that come at you with a big knife.
Yikes. The kind you have nightmares about and wake up a bag of sweat. Besides being a terror on high heels, they have their place in the Silent Hill realm, and have gotten so popular that fans go all out to look just like them.
Let's take a closer look. Throughout almost every Silent Hill game you will find them in one form or another. They come in big and small sizes, with varying personalities, and are somewhat of a reflection of the games protagonist.
They wear typical uniforms that of which you find on some modern day nurses, excepting the first in the series which included cardigans and older type uniforms. In the original story, they were known as "puppet nurses". One would actually hold Harry Mason while another tried to stab him. Yikes.
While they certainly have their place in the world of what has to be on of the best survival horror games ever made, their cosplay fans also serve a purpose. By giving the rest of us something to smile about, and also something to cringe about.
It's amazing how art imitates life, and in this case vice versa. So let's pay some homage to them for their efforts, and then you can leave your comments on which you like the best. While your at it, if you yourself have a cosplay act and want it shared on this page, then by all means send your work in using the contact info link above, or you can just leave your information along with some statements about yourself below.
Kind of freaks you out........in a weird turned on way. Perish the thought, but don't hesitate to share this with others and let these fine ladies have their work spread around. As for you, if you have any cosplay acts you want added to this page, feel free to comment below with your information and be sure to add some statements about your work to include with it.
There is also an online tutorial of how to make up these kinds of costumes. See here for that, and it's pretty extensive in detail about how to make one. Impressive to say the least, so if you plan on scaring the hell out of someone this Halloween, this might be the help you need.
