The creator of Suikoden is working on a new game

October 9, 2014

It's hard to say what will happen in the game industry. Wise words from Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama, who by the way recently was interviewed by the Suikoden Revival Movement, a group that I myself am apart of and would like to invite you to join as well.

Yoshitaka has since left Konami, but his spirit with the Suikoden games he created will still live on. So what is he up to these days? His Blue Moon studio is working on a new game, and according to him, the Western part of the world just might see it sitting in their living rooms.

The new title is targeted at just that, an overseas audience says Murayama, and although the project is in it's very early stages, he says there is some Suikoden influence within (also a Michael Moorcock link), as well as a dash of "Magic: The Gathering", which is a manga adaptation he participated in. Yoshitaka was also asked in the interview if KickStarter would be an option to revive the series he created, which would be a great idea when you consider how much it costs to produce games these days.

While your at it, why not join us on our Revival Movement Facebook page, and bring a friend or five along with you. There are well over 23 thousand of us, and we would love to have you among us. Remember, the greater the numbers, the louder our voices are and could very well get a new game made, as well as resurrect the first two titles. So what are you waiting for?
