The most beautiful Alucard Castlevania artwork you've ever seen

February 13, 2015

For years now I've been covering everything from the latest Konami games, to classic games, cosplay, artwork, game soundtracks and more, but nothing so far in the art department comes close to the kind of work that resonates from nell-fallcard.

This fan art made from the halls of Castlevania features none other than the half vampire (Dhampir) Alucard himself. For those familiar to his character you may remember him from Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse, and his greatest contribution as the main character in Symphony of the Night, which has been hailed as the number one best Castlevania game of all time.

Alucard has also made another appearance in both Mirror of Fate for the Nintendo 3DS system, and again on the story followup in Lords of Shadow 2. Alucard is originally known as the son of Dracula, and his name of course being Dracula spelled backwards.

His abilities in SOTN ranged from being able to transform into a bat, to using a number of other familiars and magic attacks, as well as sword and physical attacks. When SOTN released on the Playstation 1 back in the mid 90s, it didn't catch on as well at first, but took off later on and became a best seller for the console.

If you still missed the boat playing it, I suggest you try to get yourself a copy or see if you can get it from either PSN or Xbox Live if it's still online. You won't regret it. Meanwhile, enjoy some really awesome artwork from nell-fallcard, and then take a look at the rest of the great work of art located there. The photo on top is Alucard holding Michiru Yamane, who was the musical composer for SOTN, and a number of other great Castlevania games such as Lament of Innocence and Order of Ecclesia.
