The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles get a funny music video that will make you go cowabunga

September 4, 2016

It's been over 25 years now and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are not only still aroud, but have delivered at least 5 movies to your living room, and more video games than you can count on two hands.

The heroes in a half shell named after famous artists, painters, & architechs, along with their human size rat for a master have dominated both the gaming industry for so long, that they've been featured on everything from cartoons, lunch boxes, toys, and even as a part of your kids bed spread.

So what made these green fighting machines so popular? Perhaps it started with their appeal to the younger audience, and then just grew bigger from there. Whatever the reason, Konami was there to secure the rights to do a video game franchise based on them, starting with the well known NES game, and arcade title to boot.

After watching the TMNT at home on Saturday mornings, and then going to the arcade and seeing the game itself in person, I was blown away at how realistic it looked. Sure, simple by today's standards of big open world games, but this my friend was a time when gaming was more about gameplay itself, and not just which one had the best graphics.

While the turtles have taken their fair share of the gaming market, they've also caught the eye of another die hard gaming lover, Keith Apricary. Born as Nathan Barnatt, Keith spends a lot of his time both playing games, and then making the kind of videos about them that are not only really entertaining, but so funny you'll fall out of your chair laughing at them.

Recently I did a post about his roast of the Angry Video Game Nerd where he performs his usual antics and funny acts that have caught YouTube fans by storm in recent years.

This one however is a special music video put together by him and friends that sings about his love for the Ninja Turtles, and in usual Keith fashion, adds a dose of humor and comedy to boot. Take a look at it below and tell me what you think about it in the comment section below.

Love him or hate him, sometimes you just can't help but laugh at his acts. If you like this video, then be sure to check out the "behind the scenes" video below it. Leonardo would be proud.
