This is what a true game room looks like for a die hard fan

January 9, 2016

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would have never believed it. Someone who has as many game systems as I've owned over the years, and likely more games than I've ever owned, and I've owned quite a bit. What you are looking at is the game room and stash of Matt Breedlove, someone who has just that. A love for gaming and game systems.

These photos show some familiar faces, and some that you probably have never seen before. Rows and rows of games, and shelf after shelf of game systems. Consoles ranging from Dreamcast, Turbografx-16, to SuperGraFx, and even a classic Atari 2600 thrown in for good measure.

One item that also sparked my interest is the fact that he has a signed poster of Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia in his game room. Indeed, signed by the man himself, Koji Igarashi. Igarashi as many of you Castlevania fans know is the father of the "MetroidVania" style games like Symphony of the Night that we've come to know and love over the years.

It's too bad that there hasn't really been another one like it in a long time. There is still a huge demand out there for it. Luckily there are crowdfunded projects that take after games like Castlevania OoE, and help heal a long infected wound.

Take a look below at Matt's game room photos, and see if you recognize anything from your past, or present. Like that Metal Gear Solid 4 box hanging on the wall.
