A new project called Hospitality Hall, which is an academic building for the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration will become a reality thanks to the support of the folks from Konami. The gaming giant has issued a 2.5 million dollar gift to help fund the project, bringing a closer tie in relationships with the UNLV. Senior vice president Thomas Jingoli of Konami Gaming issued a statement saying:
“Our strong commitment to the education of future industry leaders compels our continual support of UNLV."
Other sources of support will come in the form of 30 million from the public, with another 20 million by private parties. The end result will complete around 95,000 square feet of classroom area, meeting rooms, and labs for students. This is not the first time Konami has shown a generous support for this kind of donation, as back in 2010 they issued a 1 million dollar gift to help fund the Harrah Hotel College.
“Konami is honored to make this financial commitment for the UNLV Hospitality Hall as a contribution to the development of both the gaming industry and its future leaders,” said Takuya Kozuki, president of KONAMI CORPORATION.
